Since the last years, more and more people are building their own WordPress websites. The most popular website builder is WordPress. A WordPress website can be dedicated to any niche you like. WordPress may be used for businesses, blogs, or personal journals because it is so adaptable. It has a lot of possibilities. Beginners and developers can create personalized and very intuitive websites with WordPress since it is user-friendly. Users can download plugins, e.g., chat plugin, to improve their websites using WordPress.

These plugins allow users to customize their websites, which is what we’ll discuss today. How can you include a chat on your site, given that we’re talking about a WordPress website?

Here’s a fast and simple introduction to the RumbleTalk chat plugin and its capabilities.

Your own chat plugin

WordPress offers a plugin website that lists all of the plugins that may be used with the platform. To add RumbleTalk to your WordPress website, here’s what you need to do.

  1. The RumbleTalk chat plugin should be downloaded and installed.
  2. Create your chat account by registering. Register (email + password) under WordPress Settings, and then choose RumbleTalk chat.
  3. Click “Already have an account?” for people who already have one.
  4. Enter your 2 fields token hyperlink and add your account token (two fields can be accessed in your admin panel under Integration in Account Settings) (two fields can be found in your admin panel under Integration in Account Settings).
  5. Your chat code (hash) will appear in the chatroom code area when you register. This is a one-of-a-kind string for each chat room.
  6. NOTE: If you don’t receive the hash code, you’ll have to manually register with RumbleTalk to get one.

Setting up your chat plugin

  • Add chat room — Create more chat rooms by adding a chat room.
  • Members — Link your conversation to the users of your members. Allow your members to log in to your chat automatically.
  • Floating — If you want your chat to show as an icon in the lower right corner, choose this.
  • Size — Resize the chat if necessary. The size of the chat may be smaller or longer than intended in some WordPress themes. See troubleshooting in that situation.
  • Settings — Change the look of your chat, add admins, and so on.
  • To add RumbleTalk group chat to your site, browse a page or post in your WordPress admin.
  • In case you have only one room, use the term (rumbletalk-chat) in your post’s visual mode to position the chat widget where you need it.
  • Use the green button or the precise hash in the phrase (rumbletalk-chat hash=”insert here your chat hash”) if you have several chat rooms.

See the chat on your WordPress website when you’ve completed those steps.

Why should you include a chat plugin on your WordPress website?

Given that many of your website visitors are coming and going, why not seize the opportunity to convert them to followers?

They are more than just frequent visitors because they are followers of your content. They stay up to date on your latest updates and posts, and they follow you on social media.

The majority of website visitors like what they see. If they came to your site, it means they are interested in your content. What if you created a group chat where you could interact with your followers?

If you’re active on your WordPress website, you’ll be able to chat with anyone who wants to. It could be a guest or a follower. They can join the group chat as long as they are on your WordPress website.

You can also open the group chat for anyone if you are not active. Because the group chat is open to the public, both followers and visitors can interact.

This can help to strengthen your community while also increasing visitor conversion rates.

Include more than one chat room

If your site is getting traction, you can add more chat rooms. The RumbleTalk chat plugin makes it simple to add chat rooms. Simply go to your chat settings and enter the number of rooms you require.

Set your chat’s entrance and subscription fees

You can charge users to enter your chat room using PayWall. You can choose to charge an entrance fee in exchange for limited chat access.

Users can also pay a subscription fee for unlimited chat access.

This is entirely up to you as the chat’s owner. Do you believe your users would prefer to access your chat for a limited time or for an extended period of time?

Using InText Keywords to redirect visitors

Now that you have your chat, you can add keywords to it, which will allow you to link URLs to specific keywords. You can, for example, redirect users to your Facebook page if you use Facebook as a keyword.

Go to Settings in your admin panel to add a keyword. Then, select Manage Keywords.

Enter the keyword and the URL to which you want it to redirect. All rooms use the same keywords. As a result, if you have multiple chat rooms, keep in mind that your keywords will apply to all of them.

Chat on your WordPress website

It’s simple to add a chat to your WordPress website if you follow the guidelines above. You may quickly connect with your site’s visitors or followers via a chat plugin.

A third-party website or a social media group/messaging app is no longer required. It’s all in one location for you.

Integrating a chat into your WordPress website accomplishes this. It boosts the number of visitors to your website and the length of their stay. This results in a greater average than those who do not use a chat.

These visits rely heavily on interaction. You can also form a community by interacting with your frequent visitors. You may attract more visitors and followers to your focused circle by creating a community.

So, which option will you take? Is it better to have a site with or without a chat?
